Introducing Coffee Chats!
After our last roundtable, school psychologists requested that Steve Humbert and Sandra Ordan facilitate "coffee chats" for school psychs to come together, collaborate, and discuss topics of interest. On Wednesday, March 19, the first WWC SP Coffee Chat was launched via zoom! What a success! We had 11 school psychs from across our region. The topics ranged from dyslexia, new testing tools, reading intervention, parent/community pushback on reading curriculum and executive functioning. Most important, we all felt tremendous gratitude and collaboration for this time together.
Next Coffee Chat: April 29th at 8:00 am via Zoom.
The WWC Team partnered with Dr. Angi Felber from Alfred University to provide Professional Development to school counselors, school psychologists, school social workers and superintedents from Franklinville CSD, Belfast CSD, Scio CSD, Hinsdale CSD, and Genesee Valley Boces (March, 2025).
